The vision for Garfield Elementary School is to delivery a year-round, inquiry-based insructional program that is structured to develop rich content knowledge across all grade levels. As a result, our students will have the foundation needed to defy the rigors of college and excel in their future careers.
The mission of Garfield Elementary School is to teach, model and refine an interactive, learner centered, inquiry-based approach to a rigorous and relevant education guided by Common Core State Standards.
Technology, multiple intelligences, cooperative learning and strong communication skills will be incorporated into all instruction.
Promoting interaction, cooperation and risk-taking between students and the real world will encourage continuous learning for all.

August 25th - 27th has been set aside for individual parent teacher conferences and home visits.
Thursday, August 28th – Students with last names A - K will attend full day.
Friday, August 29th - Students with last names L - Z will attend full day.
